So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers.’ Hebrews 2:11

What is salvation? Well, if you were drowning and you couldn’t keep your head above water for a second longer and just as you took your last breath someone reached into the water and pulled you to safety, you’d say that person had saved your life. At that moment, they were your salvation. If you’ve accepted Jesus Christ as your Saviour, you’ve not only been saved from an eternity without God but you’ve been given the inheritance of Jesus Christ himself. Here are a few things you can expect if you take the hand of Jesus and let him be your Saviour:

1) ‘His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness’ (2 Peter 1:3 NIV). You have all you need today because you’re God’s child. If you don’t think so, ask God for what you need, it’s yours in Jesus.

2) ‘Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ’ (Ephesians 1:3 NIV). Everything that Jesus is, you have access to! He is the healer so you can access healing; He is the champion so you can live in victory…the list goes on.

3) ‘We are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago(Ephesians 2:10 NLT). God has a plan and a purpose for your life. He didn’t just save you so you can share Heaven with Him. He saved you so you can live your life to the max, loving God and sharing His life with others. Don’t waste a minute!
