‘You are God’s Masterpiece’ Ephesians 2:10

Girls love diamonds. It’s a fact! Nearly every girl alive would love to get a diamond from someone she loves…not every girl would admit that but secretly she thinks it. If a girl is given a diamond engagement ring she admires it and each time she looks at it she is reminded of her fiancé and their love for one another. Did you know that you’re precious to God? Like the diamond admired by the newly engaged girl, God admires you. He thinks you are beautiful. Yes, that includes the guys too! It says in the Bible that, ‘you are God’s masterpiece’ (Ephesians 2:10). If you go to an art gallery and look at a Van Gogh or a Rembrandt, whatever your opinion of the picture is, you won’t be able to deny that the one who painted it was the master of his craft. You may look in the mirror and think your nose could use a bit of height. You may wish you were taller, smaller or had thicker hair. You are your own worst critic. Next time you look at yourself, whatever your opinion might be right now; know this, you were created by the one who is the ultimate designer, the Master of His Craft, and He is captivated by you! You’re a masterpiece; an expression of your heavenly Father’s heart. He has given you the ability to love, to create, to invent, to express, and to be yourself. No one else can contribute to this world in the way that you can. There is no other like you. So the next time you go criticize yourself, try to see beyond the flaws and see the masterpiece.
